Hello Everyone! I hope this message finds you all in good spirits and enjoying your summer off! After many visits today at the Mission by our esteemed members of the Board I thought it would be prudent to send out an email to let you all know what plans have been made for the Mission to accommodate our Fearless Leaders absence and while I am away on holidays. Working in conjunction with Stewart I have hired Sara Saganace on a short term contract to come in for the next 2 weeks full time while I am off on holidays. She will be assisting Chantal with the day to day operations of the Mission, the shopping and maintenance of the budget. These 2 ladies are more than capable of keeping the Mission running smoothly and I do not foresee any problems. Further, my adult son Tylor, will be in on a daily basis to help out also, taking the place of Billy, who will be returning in the fall. Also, we have an awesome volunteer Marion who comes in on Monday and Tuesday each week for the mornings and she will add Friday mornings while I am gone. So there will be lots of bodies around to get the work done. I have decided to close on Sunday August 1st and August 8th - thank you Ursula for your offer; with the long weekend on the 1st and such I think it is just best to close. Sara will be able to stay on with us temporarily after the 16th dependant on her own long-term job prospects. So there is no reason for us to worry about staffing and having to rush Stewart back to work. Further, Chantal is willing able and most interested in staying on with us beyond her contract, which ends September 3rd, part time in the fall. So that's what's what at the Mission. All is good except we dearly miss you Stewart! Our prayers are with you.
