On Friday, April 2 at 8:00 p.m., the Choir and Baroque Orchestra of The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul thrilled an almost-full sanctuary, presenting J. S.

The Rev. Dr. Richard Topping announced during our worship service today (March 29) that, pending Presbytery approval, he has accepted an appointment as Associate Professor, The St. Andrew's Hall Chair of Reformation Studies, St. Andrew's Hall, Vancouver School of Theology, University of British Columbia. Under rules of governance of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, Presbyteries are responsible for important decisions affecting congregations, such as who will be ordained, decisions about church property, and the calls of ministers to congregations. Thus, the Montreal Presbytery will soon rule on the appointment.

In the past week, Richard advised our church's Kirk Session and, in a letter to all congregants, of his decision.

The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul is pleased to introduce its new website at the old address: www.standrewstpaul.com. Featuring new technology, it reflects the changing, active and growing face of the church. The new site seeks to serve both present members of the congregation and those searching for a church home in the heart of Montreal. Visitors can contact staff through the site, sign up for the Inside Out newsletter, and, as many in distant corners of the world already do, see and hear each Sunday’s service of worship.

A media page will contain information about ministers and music staff, as well as an archive of news releases, contact phone numbers and e-mail addresses and notes about upcoming events that may be of special interest.
