Sunday WorshipEach Sunday morning, our church is a busy place. Parents drop off children at the Church School, friends greet friends, visitors study memorials and stained glass windows - they nearly always find someone to show them around - and the choir rehearses in the Sanctuary at 10:00, a delight for music fans. At 10:45, the church bell calls people to the sanctuary for moments of quiet organ music and reflection before the worship service begins at 11:00. Each service includes an introit and anthem by our 60 voice choir. Elders, and members of the congregation, very often read the scripture lessons for the day. The congregation shares in the worship of God in song, prayer and occasionally in responsive readings. Twice a month the children of our Church School join us either to sing for us or to hear a children's story told by one of our ministers. Following the hour-long service, members and visitors are invited to share a few moments of Coffee and Conversation, usually in an informal setting but on special occasions in a more formal reception. It's nice to hear laughter at church.
