Event Details
Religious Heritage Days is an annual event coordinated by the Québec Religious Heritage Council to be held this coming weekend, September 8, 9 and 10th throughout the province of Québec. It aims to allow Quebecers to discover testaments (buildings from different periods and construction techniques, organs, works of art, archives, monuments, cemeteries, etc.) to their province’s religious heritage and provide insight into their predecessors’ knowledge, actions, rituals and ideas. We once again we have the privilege of participating in these Heritage days on Friday, September 8th at 1:30 p.m. for an organ recital by our very own Director of Music, Jonas Apeland. You are invited to hear works by Vierne, Saint-Saens, J.S Bach, Débussy on the 110 rank Casavant organ in the sanctuary. Enjoy a few moments after the recital in the Quiet Garden.

Event Details
To all walkers (or cyclists!), you are invited to join our “Team St. Andrew and St. Paul of Montreal” as we help raise money for our friends at Action Refugee. The walk will be held on September 23rd and starts at 11:00 a.m. We will meet at 4322 rue Wellington and participate in either the 2.5 or the 5K walk. Our team captain is Hannah Chestnutt.
We’re fundraising in the Ride for Refuge on September 23 in solidarity with people seeking hope, safety, and freedom. And although it only takes a few hours of our time, we know it will make a difference. By participating in the RIDE, we’re standing in solidarity with people who have little or no voice and who often get left behind or ignored. And by fundraising, we’re supporting a charity who is bringing hope and refuge to those same people. Thanks for supporting us! #ride23

Event Details
On Saturday, September 30, at 6:00 p.m., The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul will hold our second annual service to mark the Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Indigenous and settler-descendant voices will be raised in story, song, and prayer to Creator God. The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, Rev. Mary Fontaine, a member of the Cree First Nation of Mistawasis, Saskatchewan, will offer a homily. Singer-songwriter Shauit, a member of the Innu community of Mani-Utenam, will reprise his much-appreciated appearance last year, Kahnawake elder Don Barnaby will reflect on our nearby community and our ministers, Rev. Dr. Glenn Chestnutt and Rev. Susan Brasier will offer prayers. As last year, dozens of candles will be lit in memory of the victims and survivors of the residential schools, and orange t-shirts will fill the sanctuary.
Attendance at this remarkable service is very definitely open to all of any faith or no religious faith who share the hope of restoring right relations with our Indigenous brother and sisters.

All are welcome to join the fabulous A&P Choir’s Wine & Cheese Recital on October 12th!
Come to hear the wonderful singers of our choir in a different setting. You will hear solo arias, duets, songs from musical theatre, pieces for the whole choir, and more in the beautiful Kildonan hall of The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul.
During the concert you are invited for a glass of wine and an array of lovely cheeses from the renowned Fromagerie Hamel, selected by our choir’s own professional cheese expert Alex Porras. You are more than welcome to enjoy the wine and cheese whilst enjoying the recital.
Tickets are available for sale in the back of the church after the services the upcoming Sundays, and at the door on October 12th. Prices are $45 and $20 for students. Extra donations are welcome by cash or card.
The funds will go to the Music Department of The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, and will ensure the continuation of all our activities including the special services such as our Carols by Candlelight, February Vigil, and Good Friday service.
We invite everyone to join for a splendid evening of exquisite treats and music, and to get to know everyone in the Music Department and the choir in a convivial and warm setting. Come join us, and invite anyone you know who might be interested in an evening of tasty wine and cheese and top-notch music!
