Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from February 16 to June 24, at 7:00 p.m.
From mid-February to late June, follow three Montreal musicians on a gripping journey through J.S. Bach’s greatest works for solo instruments. On Tuesdays, ‘cellist Elinor Frey will play the complete suites for solo violoncello, some of the most iconic music ever written for that instrument. On Wednesdays, organist Jonathan Oldengarm plays the chorale preludes from the Leipzig manuscript, the largest collection of chorale-based works that survives in Bach’s own handwriting. And on Thursdays, violinist Emmanuel Vukovich takes us through the complete sonatas and partitas for solo violin, in a special multimedia performance that also features our church’s landmark Lawrence Lee stained glass windows.
