French organist Julien Girard is inspired by the Wanamaker Grand Court Organ of Philadelphia, one of the world’s largest pipe organs. His programme is a technocolour tour of the dazzling Anglo-American orchestral style, right at home on the 7,000-pipe Casavant organ of St Andrew and St Paul:
— Grayston IVES (1948) : Intrada
— Riccardo BARTHELEMY (1869-1937) : Caressing butterfly (transcribed by Firmin SWINNEN, organist of Longwood Gardens)
— J.S. BACH (1685-1750) : Come, sweet death (arranged by Virgil FOX for the Wanamaker Organ)
— Percy FLETCHER (1879-1932) : Fountain Reverie
— Edwin LEMARE (1865-1934) : Andantino in D flat “Moonlight & Roses”, op. 83 no. 2 (1888)
— Robert HEBBLE (1934) : Night song
— Charles CALLAHAN (1951-) : Aria
— Robert HEBBLE (1934) : Heraldings (dedicated to Dr. et Mrs. Robert Schuller for the Crystal Cathedral)
