Event Details

Since 2013, Action Réfugiés Montréal — one of our charitable partners at St Andrew and St Paul — has participated in the Ride for Refuge. It is the only fundraiser they organize. This is a family-friendly bike ride / walk fundraiser held in the West Island. As we have lived the experience of sponsoring refugees through Action Réfugiés Montréal, this is a way to provide funding to help ARM continue its mission.

Here is how it works:

  • The event is held across Canada on the last Saturday in September;
  • The Montreal event will be held at starting 9 AM at Westview Bible Church in Pierrefonds on September 29, 2018;
  • Please consider forming a church team associated with Action Réfugiés, or joining the team ARM as an individual;
  • Each rider then solicits friends and family, near and far, to make a pledge;
  • Pledges can be made online or by cheque and Action Réfugiés Montréal receives the funds in order to carry on its ministry!

For Action Réfugiés this is a great fundraiser as it involves very little work and has great potential. It can make ou ministry of aiding refugees be even more alive to everyone in the congregation: a 6-year-old could participate and make a difference in the life of a refugee! We encourage you to reach out to friends and neighbors as the event is open to all.
