Job Description

Greeting the congregation when they arrive at church; supervising collection; distribution of bulletins; ensure COVID protocols are respected. You can usher as much or as little as you want. Typically volunteers might usher once every 8-10 weeks.

Preferred Assets and Skills

Friendly, good communication and interpersonal skills. Patient.

Describe any learning opportunities that you or your team might teach or support.

Not much to learn really, but if it’s your first time a member of the ushering committee or the elder on duty that day will show you the ropes.

The elder on duty the day that the volunteer is ushering. Also a member of the ushering committee may also be in touch to provide information before the date.
